Stow Parent Council Spring News

The P3/4 children start swimming lessons this term. The Parent Council funds the transport costs for these lessons and this year we are very grateful to the Community Council for a grant of £250 towards the cost of this. Stow Primary School are hosting a talk by an Indian from the Brazilian Amazon. He will be discussing life in the Amazon and current dangers threatening his tribe. The wider community are very welcome to attend this event on Friday 23rd May at 11.00am at the School.

Fresh Start Borders

We recently had a presentation from Fresh Start Borders who came to talk to us about homelessness in the Scottish Borders. Fresh Start is a local charity based in Selkirk which co-ordinates donations of household goods from the public and distributes these as packs to people who are moving into their first permanent home. Snow School

During the recent fall of heavy snow we were able to keep Stow Primary open for the pupils. However there was one big difference, the teachers. Our school was staffed by teachers who lived in Stow! Jubilee Medals

Jubilee Medals

Today, Stow Parish Trust presented every child attending Stow Primary School with a medal to mark the Queens Diamond Jubilee. Each medal is inscribed with the Official Diamond Jubilee emblem.
